How are the IPs delivered from the business gateway?

This is a pre-sales question, but the sales folks do not seem to be able to tell me. I am looking at getting a block of static IPs, and from what I gather, I will need to use the business gateway for this. I was told that I could use my own router. Just installed SB6141, Now appears that I am connecting from across country?

Hey, I just moved off the SMC modem/router over to a purchased SB 6141. Now whenever I use websites that detect my location it believes that I am located in South Carolina, not Minnesota. My speed test results are also sometimes the same as with the SMC and sometimes worse. Could this location issue
