Should I use auto MDI-X for our router?

We have just got a new ethernet private line and I wonder if we shoud use auto MDI-X between Comcast's terminal device (Ciena 3916) and our router (HP MSR3044).In some cases, auto media selection seems to cause unstable link or burst errors.Therefore, using static 1000base TX Full seems to be better

After talking back and forth between comcast support and D Link support, D Link has offered to exchange my modem even though I know for a fact the modem is working fine, sending packets but not getting a response on your end. They suggested to have you re-register the MAC address on the modem to fix

I have a fixed IP internet service.  The fixed IP address I was given is 74.95.19.42. This IP currently resolves to: c-174-56-103-148.hsd1.nm.comcast.net How can I set up an alias to this rather cumbersome name? I have set up a "vanity" domain for my email already, but that does not help with my fix

Dial-by-name, same user with 2 extensions

I have a user with two assigned phone extensions, same caller ID firstname-lastname for both extensions.  What happens when an outside caller tries to dial-by-name in our directory?  Does it go to the first line found matching the full name?  Does it offer the caller a choice of extensions?  Thanks.

Latest bill has price increase contrary to contract terms

My Jan bill arrived and includes a price increase contrary to the terms of my 3 year contract. Specificly, the equipment rental has increased to 14.95 a month which is clearly spelled out in the contract at 12.95 for the duration of the contract term. How best to get the billing corrected?
