Comcast Autodiscover Service with Existing Domain
We have an existing domain and want to use our existing domain name with Comcast Business-Class Email We followed the procedure in the tech support document of the same name. We haven't changed any MX records, so our email is still connecting to an Exchange Server at RackSpace. At this time, we have a question about the Exchange autodiscover service for Comcast: do we also have to add a CNAME record for the Comcast Exchange autodiscover service? We work primarily from desktops on a LAN and prefer to use the fat Outlook client over the Outlook Web client.

I have been trying since mid May to get my email transferred to Comcast. I was with Cbeyond. Currently GoDaddy has my Domain names & email, which as of yesterday I have not been able to get email at all. Anyway, Your instructions on "use your existing domain name with comcast business email & web hosting" is worthless to me. I had to have a tech at GoDaddy to help me get through step 5. Not sure how long I have to wait, 24 hours, 48 hours? I waited 24 hours & then proceeded to step 6, not sure what host name to enter, GoDaddy, what? Some clarification would be helpful. I am self employed, I am in an shop answering phones, assisting customers and making sure my techs are doing what they need to do in the field & in the shop. I have very limited time to work on this problem. I would have expected more from Comcast, but I am getting very frustrated by the entire situation. Tech Support, when I call, usually points me in the comcast business help, which is no f_____g help. Too much information missing to assist me in trying to handle this on my own when I get the time. What is with these companies that think we have time to deal with this. Lets get real. I need help to get my email, customers send me work orders and pics and so much more, that not being able to access it is a real pain. I am loosing business and if I am loosing business I cannot pay my bills which includes your company. HELP PLEASE AND DO NOT REFER ME TO A SITE!
