low download speed

I've been consistently getting 16Mbits/s download speeds and it dropped to 2Mbits/s very recently (in the last couple of days). My upload is pretty decent though (faster than download, at ~5Mbits/s). txt record for domain verification

i am trying to add a txt record for domain verification, i added the record and the domain is not validating it.  I have waited 12 hours, which is normally well within the correct waiting time. any clues as to why?  or can you check to see if it is in the DNS but has not yet propogated. Thanks
