New Auto Attendant greeting

Trying to help client with changing auto attendant message.  Had a new message recorded - set up steps with new name using an unused auto attendant slot.  How do I tell the system to use the new auto attendant in place of the original recording?  I do NOT want to eliminate the original auto attendant recording (since Comcast set that up we do not have a copy of it) in case the new one does not work.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi SaltCreek2 and welcome to the business forums.

I would like to assist with your greeting feature. You should only be able to have one business hours greeting and one after hours. However, if you have multiple auto-attendants, we can look into the unused one and see if we can save the old file. Please private message me your first and last name, the name of your business, the full address of the business location and the phone number associated with your account.

Here's a link on the Voice Edge Automated Attendant as well:

I created a new auto attendant greeting and when I upload it I get an error message that says invalid wav file. It is 2MB. I looked at the PDF referenced in this thread and I don't see anything about file limits. Can you advise so I can get a new recording added ASAP? Thanks.

Hi abc and welcome to the business forums.

Thanks for your question on the automated attendant. There is definitely some other criteria that needs to be met as well when uploading your own greeting. Here's a link to that below:

Please let me know if you need anything.

Hi @Comcast_Phil , I am having a hard time getting the custom auto attendant file to sound clear and without fuzz or "rasp". I have tried recording on my phone and then converting to a wave file with no luck. I also tried recording with my tablet directly to the auto attendant upload (recorded a greeting through comcast record option). I need to make sure the greeting is clear, easy to hear, no raspiness or cracking but can't seem to get it to work. Currently, the files are: Recorded_03-18-2021 2021-03-18 19:31:29.65.wav, Recorded_03-18-2021 2021-03-18 19:35:28.12.wav, Recorded_03-18-2021 2021-03-18 19:38:04.486.wav, Recorded_03-18-2021 2021-03-18 19:41:18.299.wav

Hello, @emily_wright, thank you for reaching out in our Business forum for help with your Auto Attendant sound quality issues. I totally get where you're coming from, a fuzzy sound isn't the best way to have a professional tone for your business. In order to get started can you please click the chat bubble in the top right corner and send a message to our "Comcast Business" handle?

Did anyone ever resolve this? I upgraded from VoiceEdge Select to Business VoiceEdge and I have the same problem. Nothing works. It sounds like a 1985 answering machine message with crackling, distortion, or like I have a lisp. Totally unprofessional. My file sounds crystal clear before I upload it.
