Hi there, we just had a router failure and comcast replaced our Cisco router with a Technicolor CGA4332COM. Having some weirdness now. Our printer has needs a static (local) IP address.  So I reserved the proper IP with the printer's MAC address.  Seemed to work OK.  Then I got a ca

I may have some partial answers- but I'm not sure. It is possible that the reserved IP address was issued before the address reservation was added to the configuration shortly after the gateway was replaced.  But the gateway was rebooted many

Hi Thomas, thanks for the reply, but did you read my question fully? Or maybe you're a bot?    I have set a reserved IP address for a device, and the router's DHCP client gave that IP address to a DIFFERENT client.

Hi, we have a Cisco DPC3941B with the usual litany of firmware problems. We have an imminent need to do some port forwarding/mapping from external ports to internal IPs, which doesn't work (we get the "failed" error).  And even if it *did* work, the functionality is totally not there to map an

Hello, It looks like I posted originally in the wrong subforum so perhaps posting in here can help me out. We have a DPC3941B and tryign to setup port forwarding where an external port routes to a different internal port - for example port 5555 would route to port 80 internally on a specific server.

Wow, interesting.  I've heard nothing about this recall- mine is a POS too.  Anywhere you can point to that talks about this?  Thanks!

It looks like the "solved" tag has now locked the thread for replies.  The situation with not being able to see connected devices is definitely NOT solved. It was worked around...sort of...for me by a diligent comcast employee onsite.  The "fix" was to roll back the firmware on the box.  Well, that

Does anyone know how to redirect incoming ports to a different internal port?  The Port Forwarding configuration screen on this modem only lets me forward incoming packets to the same port on a different internal IP.  Port Triggering seems promising, allowing me to specify a trigger port and a targe

Wow.  I've never seen any router that didn't provide this functionality.  Like how the heck are we supposd to open the same service on multiple hosts?  In this case specifically I want to RDP to a few different PCS.  But unless I hack the registry on
