Unable to add user in Sharepoint

I have a user that exists in my GAL but their email address fails verification when trying to add them to sharepoint. I cannot find them using the "Add User" function in Sharepoint. What am I missing?

Hello jt128 and welcome,

You can only add Business Class Portal (BCP) email address users to BCP Sharepoint. This BCP Sharepoint is an internal account users specific implementation and not for external widepread implementation.

Yes, I am aware of this limitation. The user that I am trying to add, however, is just another of our BCP users. There is nothing special or unique about his account except that it cannot be added within Sharepoint.

Hi jt128. If you are signed in with the site owner credentials (email_id & password) and cannot add the user, please send me a private message with the site owner email_id and the user name that fails and I will engage the appropriate department investigate the issue.

No response and this is still an issue.. And unfortunately the phone support for Comcast is basically useless. They bounce me around to a few people and then I end up back at the initial troubleshooting prompt at the main number.
