Outlook 2010/2013 stuck, "UPDATING ADDRESS BOOKS"
We have several users that have Outlook 2010/2013 stuck running on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. We can not receive new emails and the status bar is always showing "UPDATING ADDRESS BOOKS". This has been a problem for over a year. I have gone through all the solutions on this site and nothing has worked. Can you please take a look at our exchange account and see if you can fix this problem?

Hello Alcosales and welcome,
You must first confirm that the Outlook 2010/2013 users have Comcast email accounts within the Comcast Business Class portal or you have added your existing email domain and you again have Comcast email accounts. Otherwise, if neither of these are true, then Comcast does not host or provide you email accounts and you need to contact your email hosting provider.
If Comcast is your legitimate email provider as I have indicated above, you need to log into your administrator's email account on the business class portal, then under Manage Services, click Email, then click on the View DNS Info link. This is where you will locate the actual POP, SMTP, or Exchange Services email address parameters that you must make sure all your Outlook 2010/2013 email user accounts are configured with these proper domain parameters.
If you still continue to have problems, you should consider deinstalling Outlook 201X from each email user's computer, then having each user log into their business portal email account and reinstalling their Outlook 201X and it should automatically correctly configure the Web or Exchange email account. If not, you can manually perform this using the parameters specified within the View DNS Info listing.
Hope this helps you out.
