Comast Bug? Outlook Global List

I have found no way to create an external user in the GAL. We have a user that would like to have all his mail deleivered to an external email account i.e gmail but still need to have a company email address. The problem is I have created a forward for this user but as apposed to his name showing up in the Access List my name shows up with his company email address. I have changed the name many time in outlook to his name but my name contantly pops up instead. According to the Comcast bussiness page:

"Email forwards allow you to add users to your global address book without having to use one of your allotted Microsoft email boxes."

No matter what my full name shows up for his email address. I'm ready to just drop the forward and create an account with an actual inbox for him and have him deal with the 2 accounts. I really hate to use an extra email account but this makes no sense what so ever.

Thanks,

-Brandon

I have the exact same issue with some of my forwards and unfortunately Comcast is of absolutely no use in helping to solve it. First you have to get past Tier 1 folks who don't even know what the GAL is. Then you have to convince them it's not an Outlook issue, which they won't support. Finally, you might get a Tier 2 ticket created and never hear back. Good luck.

With all that said, I do have some forwards that were created several years ago that do correctly show the name, but with the newer web interface, I can't find a way to set up a new forward the same way. Trust me, I've tried.

I think the issue is that there are a whole host of back-end Exchange features and settings that are blocked from us end users and there's no way to get it fixed.
