Now rep tells me I owe the ETF because I signed the disconnect form
Now a rep tells me I owe the ETF because I signed the disconnect form listing the ETF. Once I was told I owe it because I called them to disconnect, so it's disconnection for convenience.
Now how is one supposed to cancel service without calling Comcast or without signing a form they require you to sign in order to disconnect service? I didn't ask them for or agree to the ETF they put on the form but I needed to disconnect service so I signed it. Nevermind it says 'comcast MAY charge the ETF equal to 75%' on this same form, not WILL'(reminds me of the way the contract says bankruptcy OR termination of business). It's really frustrating to have to deal with uneducated salesmen and women who cannot read contracts and then try to tell you what it says and doesn't say. Comcast management hides behind this retention team bs and there is no way to reach anyone who may actually know what the dammn contract says so I am forced to deal with stupid 20 something kids who know jack. This is easily the most unethical company on the planet and I am shocked they are still allowed to operate in the US.

Hello asif,
I apologize for any financial issues this may have caused you. Unfortunately there are a few options to avoid an ETF on a closing account. Options are to have someone from my Loyalty team contact with new service options, or see if you have availability to transfer your business account to a residential service. Unfortunately these changes are made in this department and are completed by them as well. If you would like to explore one of these options please message me back.
Thank You

The loyalty/retention department is not helping me. They either want to retain the customer or charge an ETF. How about they abide by the contract and actually honor it? The contract allows for an ETF waiver for termination of business but no one at the loyalty department will acknowledge this. They say declare bankruptcy, so comcast assesses the ETF and it is discharged in bankruptcy. Nevermind what the contract actually says, they talk to me like I am stupid and will just accept the ETF is valid because they keep saying it is. Nobody has responded to the fact that my sales rep assured me I would not have to pay an ETF if I went out of business. The retention guy did say that if the sales rep lied, I should have read the contract and I would have caught her lie, so he admits they lie.
Regardless, I have read the contract and i know what it says, I would like for Comcast to honor it's contract but if a day in court is what it takes then so be it. I have reached out to NBC today with my complaint as well. Comcast is known to ignore ETF issues till the media gets involved.
