Changed tier, told bill would be backdated, still not changed
On our second month (starting this month, have already paid the bill for the first month, received bill due in March, for service we haven't used yet) of service we called to change the tier down one which should knock about 40 dollars off the bill. Currently it is still showing the original amount online. Will this be updated, or not until the next bill, or? Looking for a little clarification.

Hello MidgardDragon and welcome,
The answer to your question is what date within your billing cycle did you make the actual Change Of Service (COS). We can only presume that is you made the COS very close to the end of your billing cycle, therefore, the proration credit will not be processed until next month's billing statement along with your new tier rate charge processing.
Hope this helps you out.

Here is the sequence of events:
Changed to business class on January 17 (as in fully installed and switched over). Paid that months bill off before the next months arrived, that one arrived and is due March 6th. We called to change the tier on the 16th, the day before we the month of service at that tier was up.
I guess my current question is basically do I need to pay the amount currently on my bill? And since she said it would be backdated does that mean if I pay the full amount on my current bill that I will have a credit for the amount on the next bill?
See if I pay the full amount currently on my bill I am paying for a month of service at a tier we aren't using. I have only had it one month and this is the second bill, therefore this bill should be for the tier of service we will be using from now on, but the bill arrived before the first month was even up and we had time to switch over.

If you were installed on Jan17, then the first billing statement is always sent out the days after the install. I recommend that you pay the charges that are on the billing statements and the credits on the new low tier should be present on next month's billing statement.
