How do you setup text/email outage alerts?

Comcast *Business* has been *heavily* advertising the ability to setup text/email outage alerts on the Golf channel for several months. So, today I register my business account on the business portal and I can't find outage alerts setup ANYWHERE on the portal. I talked to two reps that werent even aware that this feature even exists?!? Would Comcast really spend money running commercials on a feature that doesnt exist?

I wanted to follow up with some additional information that I received today.  According to a careful TV watching observer there is fine print at the bottom of the TV screen that says "For ethernet cusomters only."  I have seen the commercial many times and never seen it.  Comcast  "ethernet" service (aka "metro-e") is not as common as basic business cable service. So, the majority of basic business cable users should not expect to see this feature which is being so heavily advertised. Btw- I did not get this information from Comcast.  Nobody at Comcast seems to know anything about it.

Your Comcast Business available alerts can be seen here. However, if you have a cell phone, ipad, tablet with auto internet access you can simply log into the Business Portal Account using your admin email address and it will always provide you with the latest status of all Comcast services real-time.

Hello, thank you for your reply.  I was able to find and enable text alerts on my account.  However, there is no mention anywhere (that I can find) about being alerted to service outages as the frequent Comcast tv commercial claim.  We are expecting very high wind storms here over the next two days so I will have to see if I get alerts during the next outage.  The Comcast Business web portal alert settings only offers alerts regarding 

 

"Comcast Business online account alerts allow you to stay on top of important items such as bill payments and service appointments."

 

If anyone knows anyone at Comcast that would like to speak to this question please let me know. Thanks
