I have the same issue. I tried calling in to have it changed and the tech told me to call back Monday. It is causing huge issues. How can I have it disabled?

Hello, @user_f72e3c

Thank you for taking the time to reach out and post on our Community Business Forums.

Please send us a private message with your full name, business name, full address, and phone number. By clicking the "message" icon in the upper right page of our forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle (Comcast Business) to send us a private message.

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message" icon in the top right corner

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there

• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list

• - An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.

Same here; it is interfering with DNS operations on my static addresses.   I've disabled all I can find in the web portal and on the device and it's still apparently intercepting DNS queries.

Edit to add:

Appears to be fixed.

A chat with Comcast Business support directed me to call the Comcast Business support number (1-800-391-3000) during business hours.

The first person I spoke with forwarded me to a tech who disabled Security Edge in the router which immediately resolved the DNS interference.

The tech I spoke with said that this would be persistent and should survive a power cycle but would revert if I factory-reset the router; I haven't yet tested a power cycle (but will update this post when I have).

Edit 2: the disable of Security Edge persisted across a power cycle as promised.

This appears to have somehow been re-enabled.  I've been getting spammed with about a dozen 'securityedge' email alerts every day.

Can you please disable security edge for me?

@user_88b9d8 i have also been getting spammed by the securityedge email alerts. no way to unsubscribe. i assume we should report them as spam. security edge should be allowed to be disabled. this is causing issues for our network.

@user_525fbc You have to call, sit on hold, wait to be told they can't fix it and that it has to be escalated to 'tier 2.'  Then you wait some more and eventually get someone that will grill you on why you want to disable it and then they will eventually turn it off.
