Comcast Business Cable Modem

Hello,

I would like to convert my Comcast Business Cable Modem to Bridge Mode. I will be putting my own router in complete with DHCP. As with my Xfinity modem at home, I'm under the assumption that when in bridge mode the public IP will be passed to my router (no static ip's purchased).

Will I need to move the Cradlepoint failover device (that was installed by Comcast) from the Comcast Business Cable Modem to my router, or will I need to contact a Comcast technician to configure the Cradlepoint as a pass-through device and leave it hooked to the Comcast modem? If moved to my router, is there anything I need to do within the router to enable failover?

Also: I have two analog phones that connect to the cable modem. Will these be effected if I switch the mode of the modem to bridge mode?

Thank you for your time.

@Comcast_Airelle Hello. That did not work. This is what I see when searching for Xfinity Support:
