Manage Comcast Business My Account user permissions (Answered)

Once you have activated your account and added some users, you can adjust the settings for each user depending on the capabilities desired for them. Read on to find out how to assign privileges to your users, how to transfer the Primary Manager role and which privileges are associated with each user type.

Please note, the Primary Manager or Services Manager can change user permissions, but only the Primary Manager can transfer their role to another user.

Manage user permissions

Some customers with Enterprise-level services may have a slightly different version of the following My Account feature. If the images in this section vary from what you see in your account, please refer to the Alternate manage user permissions section.

  1. Sign in to My Account and select Users from the account management menu.
  2. From the Users Directory, locate the user whose permissions you want to change and select View Profile.

In the User menu, the Invite Users button is located in the upper right corner. The Directory is a line below that, horizontal across the screen.

  3. Under User Details, you can Edit User Information to make edits to the user name or role.

When on the individual User menu, there are three tabs across: User Details, Account Information, and Text & Email Preferences. The Edit User Information button is to the right.

  4. Under Account Information, you can Edit Accounts to add or remove linked accounts that the user can access.

Under the second tab, Account Information, click the Edit Account button on the right hand side.

  5. Under Text and Email Preferences, set preferences for what Comcast Business notifications you wish to receive via Text / SMS, email, or both. You will see different notification options depending on the user role.

The third tab across is Text & Email Preferences. You can click the check-marks to the far right to select whether you want Text messages (left), emails (right), or both to be sent when you get a New Bill or a Past due notice.
