I have a SMCD3G modem/router and 5 static IP addresses.  I'm trying to take advantage of the ability to forward ports from the public gateway IP to local IP addresses (192.168.8.x).  Currently I'm just testing with port 80 and 81 for web access. It's working as long as I browse to the gateway IP fro

Troubleshooting an email problem, I found this in our logs (after some cleaning):550-5.7.1 [2601:647:4900:8d00:d830:edff:feb2:8d1f] Our system has detected that 550-5.7.1 this message does not meet IPv6 sending guidelines regarding PTR 550-5.7.1 records and authentication. Please review 550-5.7.1 h

This is to add myself to the list of Comcast users having this problem with google and other mail servers and waiting for ipv6 reverse DNS.  Why the big delay?

considering that comcast is part of the ipv6 launch today, are you offering ipv6 to static ip customers? just curious

What's the outlook for getting ipv6 reverse DNS?  I've had to disable ipv6 on my mail server because some services (notably gmail) are requiring reverse lookups.
