Activate Readable Voicemail and Voicemail to Email Notifications for Business Voice or VoiceEdge Select (Answered)
Introduction
Business Voice and VoiceEdge Select customers can elect to receive voicemail transcripts as well as voicemail files via email. The Readable Voicemail feature converts your voicemail to text using automated speech recognition. This feature is particularly helpful for those customers who may be deaf or hard of hearing.
Note: This feature may not be available in all areas.
Manage Readable Voicemail
- Sign in to My Account and select Phone from your subscribed services.
Note: if you select Phone from your subscribed services and your screen looks different than described below, please see the Alternative Manage Readable Voicemail section below. - Select Settings from the Voicemail menu.
- Set Readable Voicemail to On.

- Select the Pencil icon in the Voicemail to Email Notifications section.

- Select the Checkbox if you would like to attach Readable Voicemail to email notifications.
- Select the Checkbox if you would also like to attach voicemail audio file to email notifications.
- Enter the email address(es) at which you would like to receive the notification.
- Select the Checkmark to save your information and apply changes.
Alternative Manage Readable Voicemail
- The view should default to Users & Lines, if it does not, select it from the left-hand menu.
- Click the three-dot menu of the user/line you would like to activate readable voicemail for.
- Select Manage. This will bring you to the Profile tab of the user/line.

- Scroll to the bottom of the page to Voicemail Settings. You will be able to toggle email notifications on or off, set up to 5 emails to send notifications to, and select to send audio files of the voicemail and/or voicemails converted to text to your email.
