Updating Display Name - Exchange (GAL)

I have a client (the company owner) that want's her Display Name changed when she sends email (for legal reasons).

The email address itself can remain unchanged.

I updated her accounts Last Name to be correct in the account's settings/email setup, but it's still display's the incorrect (old) last name when she sends email.  When I open her email using OWA and go into options -> Account information It won't allow me to update the last name or Display Name (the fields to update these are greyed out).

How do we get the GAL updated to be correct??

Hello Don_S and welcome, Please log into this Business Class Portal using the administrators email and then click on User top left link, then in the email address you want to change the First Name / Last Name on click the edit button inside that email address bar. You will then see the First Name and Last Name boxes and you can make your modifications in there as you need. Hope this helps you out.

As I stated in the Original Message (above).  I've already done that!

The corrected last name is showing in the information for her (exchange) email account in the administration portal, but the change is still not reflected in the GAL.

When she logs in using OWA (or Outlook for that matter), the Display Name still shows the incorrect (i.e. Old) last name.

More than 48 hours have elapsed, the GAL should have ben updated by now if simply changing the name in her email account's information using the portal is all that's required.

Obviously as the Global Access List (GAL) still is showing the incorrect last name, someone from Comcast needs to do something at the MS-Exchange level that is not available to me in this enviornment.  I've seen similar messages in the forum stating that they are having the same (or closely similar) issues that have finally been resolved by someone at Comcast.

I am sorry that I misunderstood your specific issue. As you are aware, you can only make GAL changes within the actual Outlook client, as this link specifies. There is no Business Class Portal (BCP) OWA synchronization/update for GAL in Outlook client. This is also another good link that might provide information to assist you.
