Outlook - users continually receive "Enter Network Password" popup
Hello all:
I am the defacto admin / IT guy at our office, but I know very little about this, so I appreciate any help.
There are 10 of us, using various versions of windows and outlook. The last couple of days several of us have been receiving repeated "Enter Network Password" popups. When these occur, send / receive stalls until you click "continue" (the password is already populated with 'xxxxxxxx', and is rememebred correctly.)
The frequency seems to increase as the day progresses, but decreases during the late nights.
Some of us are using outlook 2007, some 2010, some 2013. Some are using windows 7, some 8. Some are using mobile devices as well, and some are not; of those who do, some are experiencing a similar problem with the mobile device.
Yesterday I tried creating a new profile, with no noticeable improvement.
I've been running Outlook in safe mode for bout 20 minutes now, and I have not seen the popup.
any help?

Hello crltg,
This is an universal interesting problem that has recently arose and pertains to various MS OSs, and Outlook Versions. Here are some universal fixes you might want to try for resolution :
1. Comcast users who are having problems need to change their outgoing server to use port 587 (in network) or 465 (out if network) and set Use this following type of encrypted connection to None .
2. For Windows 7 running Outlook 2010/2013 - If you go offline and come back on line... sometimes your outlook will go into "offline mode". You can see this down the bottom right hand corner. I'm pretty sure you can disable account settings and set one user as default in the settings. Which saves your credentials and stops this pop up. Look under "File" >
"Options"
Hpe this helps out.

I'm already on Port 587, and "none" in the type of encryption.
I'm monitoring, but I see no sign that I'm going offline, either.

Thank You, VBSSP-RICH;
I'll give both methods a try and I'll report back.
