I am suddenly unable to log in to our SP site. I get the message "Cannot connect to the configuration database." Please help.

The community would like to help, but can you clarify a few items for us?
1. What is the internet browser you are using?
2. Can you sign in to the My Account and the Webmail without issue?
3. Did you made any changes to your account's access rank?
- administrator or bill pay manager
