True Bridge Mode question.

Reason i'm looking into TBM is because my two children play on consoles and PC, when they try to play games together on a server or map type they get booted because of Double NAT? It's the only thing I can figure out. Will TBM also give uPnP functionality? That is another issue i'm seing people talk about.

So everything becomes disabled and only one device can be attached?

Thats fine, if it means I can just hook my E2500 into it and configure firewall rules and such from it.

I was wondering if I had to configure my E2500 router somehow, but from what i'm reading it still has an IP it can grab automatically? Am I reading this right?

If you are using a firewall or controlling router connected to any Comcast Gateway (CG) then you should make sure that you know what the CG WAN IP address is in TBM that you will be using. All devices connected to a TBM based CG can still be logged into for you to configure any other elements such as DHCP Server dynamic IP range, wireless facilities, security paramters, etc. When your CG is in TBM ALL of its routing becomes disabled with the ONLY exception being that its WAN IP address is passed into the firewall or controlling router device for internet service access.

Can I add that UPnP functionality on the gateway would be irrelevant in TBM?  Only the firewall/router  needs it enabled, regardless of whether it's builtin to the gateway or a separate personal device.  In TBM, all traffic passes through, regardless of port or protocol.
