SMC Gateway Assigning DHCP IPV6 When IPV6 DHCP Is Turned Off
My SMC Networks SMCD3G is assigning IPV6 addresses on the local LAN when I have IPV6 DHCP turned off.
Any suggestions? Or is this a bug in the firmware?

Hello JimD and welcome,
Could you post a copy of your SMC LAN IPV6 configuration segment of the User Interface, because if you have unchecked ALL IPV6 parameters to disable, rebooted modem, and still getting IPV6 dynamic addresses, it could be a bug. You could also call 800-391-3000, using technical high speed internet option and have the technical agent log into you SMC check the settings for you. If the settings are correctly set then the agent with issue a Tier 2 engineering ticket for them to monitor everything, telnet into the SMC and manually disable IPV6 is there is a firmware glitch. Tier 2 may also contain you to see if force-reloading of the FW on your SMC may fix this issue, too.
Hope this helps you out.

It's easiest to just post a screenshot. 😉
And to prove they are being assigned, this is from connected devices and the IPV6 address shown is my PC...
