new Motorola SB6141 modem "Could not determine your IP address" issue

I switched my business account from Comcast-owned SMCD3G modem to my own Motorola SB6141.

Everything is fine but one of the sites after switiching keeps giving me "Could not determine your IP address" error.

The site admin says that it uses command X_FORWARDED_FOR and my new modem returns empty or bogus IP addresses such as 10.0.0.*, 192.168.0.* and that causes the problem.

Comcast tech support insists that everything is fine - since I have a problem with only this site that makes sense, however the SMC modem was opening this site just fine.

Modem has 1.0.6.14 firmware I'm not sure if it's customer-upgradable or I can change and settngs in the modem. I can see all modem info by typing http://192.168.100.1/

Hello toshik and welcome,

Unfortunately. as long as the Comcast Customer Owned Modem (COM) boot file is the correct SB6141, then you will have to contact the SB6141 manufacturer technical suppport. Comcast is not able to login to any COM to provide the same in depth technical support as a Comcast Gateway.

Hope this helps you out.
