Netgear CG3000DCR Pass Through or Bridge Mode

Hi,

We have a Netgear CG3000DCR and I guess need it set to Pass Through or Bridge Mode. We have a dynamic IP.

Would anyone be able to help me get our modem setup to allow the router to be in full control of the network? We are having trouble with the port-forwarding not working and all kinds of issues.

Not sure if I can do this myself, or need a comcast rep to do this.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hello gamewisp and welcome,

Log into your NG3K by connecting any computer via ENET cable to any Lanport 1-4, bring up a browser and enter 10.1.10.1, then when the login screen appears username=cusadmin ; password=highspeed. Then click on LAN, and make sure your starting dynamic IP address is 10.1.10.10 and if it is not set it to this IP address, then click apply. This now provides you 10.1.10.2 through 10.1.10.9 as static IP address you can use for any of your device.  If you need to Port Forward, then click on FW, then the top Port Forward tab. This is where you can add new port forwarding by example is : PortForwardName Port#  Port# both(TCP/UDP) 10.1.10.2-9.

Hope this helps you out.
