Netgear CG3000DCR and MoCA?
thinking of setting up some MoCA-to-Ethernet adapters at one of my sites. i'd like to use them to link 2 separate utility closets of a building that aren't wired for ethernet but do have access to the coax lines. i understand i need a MoCA point-of-entry filter at the ground block, but would i also need one at the modem? i have read that some modems have built-in MoCA filters?

Hello train_wreck,
Yes, you will need a MoCA front end filter for the Netgear 3000 or SMCD3G. However, I believe the new DPC3939B does have inherent MoCA filter support internally available that can be internally enabled.
I know you are aware that MoCA 2.0 first specification was just recently released and will be offering " 400 Mbps and 800 Mbps actual throughputs, packet error rates (PER) as low as one in 100 million with a nominal latency of 3.6ms, and standby and sleep modes for help in overall power management in the network", from the MoCA Alliance. This is another nice implementation that is an upcoming technology for business class customers just down the road.
Take care...
