Just upgraded...now routing problems with NAT and port forwarding

Just got a shiny new CGA4131 with my upgraded business account.  But, they took my old SMC modem and this new one doesn't seem to be able to do the things I want:

 

- public to private port forwarding

- 1-1 nat

 

Anybody have any success getting this thing to accept settings?  I keep getting different "fail" messages from the UI.  Then entries exist in the respective tables, but the data is incorrect.  As in, for NAT, the private IP always says 255.255.255.255 and for port forwarding, the ports always say 0 and 0 for the range.

 

This is not good.

Just finishing this up.  I must say, comcast support was a bit of a letdown for this exercise.  I never could get the nat and port forwarding working with the new router.  So, I bought a fortigate 30e, disabled the firewall of the comcast completely, and just took care of everything on that side.  Now I have nat, port forwarding different public/private.  I had to spend more money of course, and I'm still going to get dinged every month for that router (since you can't BYO if you have static ips.)

 

And as a tip, make sure you add a default route on your downstream equipment to point to the static gateway ip on the comcast equipment.  Don't point to anything else.

Thanks for sharing. Disabling the firewall on your Comcast Business modem was the way to go. Do you have bridge mode enabled also? It sounds like you have everything all sorted out, which is awesome. If there is anything else I might be able to help with please let me know. Do all you can to have a great night!

I was told by someone in support to not enable bridge mode, as I would lose my static ips.

That is true for static IPS and depending on what you are trying to do.
