IP Addresses

I noticed on a page here for information on my accounts IP's...... that it shows my IP and then a "default gateway IP" which is a different IP then my static IP.

What is the defualt gateway IP and what is it for?

Hello Heather_Adams and welcome, If you have a static IP this information is explained in this weblink : http://businesshelp.comcast.com/help-and-support/internet/comcast-business-internet-view-your-static-ip-address/ The "default gateway IP" is a synonymous term typically used for your Comcast Gateway (CG) Wide Area Network (WAN) IP address. You can have a standard DHCP WAN or a Static IP Gateway address depending on you business requirements network interconnect. Hope this helps you out.
