Hotspot Keeps getting enabled

I have turned off the WiFi Hotspot 3 times in the 2 weeks I have had new business class service. Why does it keep getting turned on? Other than wrapping it in foil - how can I turn it off for good.

Hello NotAFanOfC0mcast,

 

I apologizefor the delayed response to your post. Any time the gateway receives an update or is power cycled the XfinityWifi hot spot will be turned back on by default. Unfortunately we do not have a way to permanently disable this feature on the equipment. The best way to avoid the XfinityWifi is to have a non-wifi modem installed at your location. You would be require to supply your own wifi signal with the modem change. If this is an option you would like to take, please send me a private message including your preferred contact information so I can process this request. I hope this information helps.
