AppleTV and Sonos unable to be assigned a DHCP address with NETGEAR CG3000DCR
For some reason my Apple TV and Sonos connected over Ethernet are unable to retrieve a DHCP address from the Netgear router I have from Comcast. All my other devices seem to be able to retrieve addresses just fine.
To do some troubleshooting I captured logs with tcpdump. As you can see both the AppleTV and the Sonos are doing DHCP DISCOVERs but seem to receive no replies from the Netgear. Since they receive no reply, they then start trying DHCP REQUESTs for specific IP addresses and are NACKed by the router (I assume its because it wasn't offered to them). I've found that after a while the Netgear router will not even bother NACKing the REQUESTs.
Any ideas on what's going on? I also find this happens occasionally with my Xbox One as well.

Hello gonzojl and welcome,
Not sure why your ethernet connected TVs are not able to aquire a DHCP dynamic address from your NetGear3000 (NG3K). You might was to try to use a higher DHCP address within your range which is either 10.1.10.2 (or 10.1.10.10) to 10.1.10.252 (or 10.1.10.199). So you can set up your TV network to use DHCP address 10.1.10.190, default gateway = 10.1.10.1 and this will force feed one of your TVs to use 10.1.10.190 as its dedicated IP address. Then use 10.1.10.191 for the next and so on......
Hope this helps you out.
