Channel lineup. Is it a secret?

Hello,

 

Zip code: 16801.

 

I understand that this is very area dependant. But why isn't there a link online where you pick a package with a zip code and you get exactly the channels in that package?

Am I supposed to buy and pay for Sports package for example without even knowing what channels are included?

 

I'm trying to upgrade or maybe downgrade. How am I supposed to see the new channels that I would get or lose?

 

I understand that I can log in to my account and check my channel lineup, but I don't need that. Please do not post the link where it explains the steps. I need to see channels for each package comcast is selling. I think it's a bare minimum to know as much service details before I make a decision.

If you are a Comcast Business Customer try this easy to use channel listing link out which requires your address information only:

 

http://business.comcast.com/tv/offices/channel-lineup

Our channel lineup is not a secret as link provided by VBSSP-RICH and this link http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/tv-listings does allow customers to view what is available in the market they are in.

 

However this "listing" does not show exact offering on a particular BCTV package.

To this issue I will forward it to our product support team for future consideration for an update.

 

As for your question of contract termination:

Only our sales/retention team can answer that question for you.

So I undrestand that I can't see sports package channels online, fine, not a problem. But Where can I pick the package that I'm interested in?

Look at what happens when I try to print the channel lineup. Could you please address that as well.

If we could get the channel lineup printed out, at least from my account, could you please help me switch between different packages in my account and then I'll be printing out the lineups for my reference? It's a lot of work but at least better than nothing. Honestly comcast is expected to do better than that. And is there any ticket number or tracking refrence so that I follow up with the issue?

I have the same problem. Our president require a print out to be put on the table in our customer area for customers to see the channel list of what they are able to see.

 

I can't find anywhere in my account what it is we are paying for - and yet the comcast sales person at the time of signup knew exactly the channels we would receive.

 

This is beyound frustrating. So it must be a secret what channels I'm paying for - right?

 

COMCAST - Please confirm with either it is a "SECRET" or a clear explanation to where in my account I can see the channel lineup I'm paying for.

 

NOTE - I'm not interested to see the 700+ channels that are available if I pay more. I'm interested to know what channels I'm paying for.

What does that really mean? Basic has channels that Deluxe and Sports Deluxe don't?

 

Suppose I wanted to see the lineup of $8.95 sports package, where can I see that?

 

How can I compare these packages if I don't see the lineups?

Thanks for your answer. This takes me back to the original question, is the channel line up a secret?

 

Before I open this thread, I did call and asked. The customer consultant did apologize that he couldn't give me an exact answer and he could only read read information from web pages that I have access to. Nothing specific... Why is it this complicated? Why can't a customer get a list before he pays? Is this enough reason to get out of a contract?

Please use the following steps print the channel list from your account:

  1.      Log into: http://customer.comcast.com/
  2.      Select My Account tab
  3.      Select My Services tab
  4.      Select XFINITY TV
  5.      Click on: View your channel lineup (you will get a pop-out window where you can print the full channel list)

 

If you don't know your log in credential please send me the following information via private message (pm).

1. Your Full Name

2. Your Business Account number

3. Your Business Address
