Unable to delete or modify a port forward
I have been unable to delete or modify a port forward. I get a wierdo error message. I have tried a soft-reset but to no avail.
Anyone else had that issue, or know a work around.

Hello frdon1809,
Are you still having issues editing port forwards? Also are you having issues with just port forwards or other settings within the modem?

I have the same issue. Tried hard and soft resets to no avail. Was told on 11/6, 11/7 and 11/8 that the issue required a "level 2" tech and one would be contacting me shortly...Well, 11/11 comes and goes with still no resolution. I was told by the "level 1" tech (who can apparently only help ensuring the router is plugged in -- her words) that comcast doesn't help with ports. I politely informed her that I don't want comcast to do anything other than to stay the hell out of the router and let me do my business. I further advised her that everything was working fine and then there was apparently a firmware push of some sort and now there are issues. I also advised her that my router would work for a limited time but then would timeout and not allow any login (but it would still pass regular traffic). She proceeded to inform me that that problem was "already taken care of" with smugness suitable for a religious or political zealot. If it is "fixed" then why am I experiencing it now and telling you about it? Am I lucky and somehow receiving this "special" service upsell similar to the so-called "4 hour response time"?
I am still attempting to have them correct the issue before going down that road but it isn't looking very good right now. Comcast seems to *hate* anything and everything outside of a very narrow pre-defined narrative. UPnP and port fowarding are most notable especially when trying to configure Anywhere Access and VPN services via built-in functions within Microsoft Server.
Best advice, (which I will be taking if unsuccessful) ditch their modem and buy your own so you can access the unabridged parameters hidden by their interface. Works wonders on the residential side, plus you can turn off (and ensure it stays off) not only the Xfinity HotSpot but also the Xfinity Home Security (XHS / hidden network). If you have a static IP you will run into issues but can just bridge through but will have to buy additional hardware.
Additional: If anyone has any advice or assistance on this matter or anything related I would be eternally grateful if you would share! I don't want to have to try to explain the additional costs just to utilize "free" vpn....

I apologize for the delayed response. I would like to send a factory rest from my end then reload your configuration file to see if this restores your access. This process can take up to 40 minutes to complete. Beyond this I would send a tech out to replace the device. Do you have a preferred time to perform the factory rest? (AM/PM)
