Static IP compatibility with gateway firewall

Hello, We are using a CGA4131COM (HW v2.1) gateway and want to know if it possible to use our current single Comcast assigned static IP address in combinaton with the built-in Comcast gateway firewall features. The purpose would be to retire our current 3rd pa rty router/firewall. Thank you.

Hi jtreyes and welcome to the business forums.

 

Thanks for your question on the firewall. You are able to use the internal feature, however, you may lose certain features that your external firewall provided. You also have the option of upgrading your statics. Business services offer static blocks of 1, 5 and 13.
