Static ip 1 or 5 and using Comcasts router or your own.

question:

 

comcast will allow you to use your own modem which is approved on their list. However if you choose to have 5 static ips, can you still use your own modem, or do you have to use Comcasts supplied modem?

 

we are close to singing up and need to now this.

Hell Ksig and welcome, Comcast only supports its Static IPs used within its rented Comcast Gateways. Comcast only supports intrinsic internet service established with a supported Customer Owned Modem. Hope this helps you out.
