Question Regarding Internal Server
I am needing some assistance on a minor issue, and I have been searching around for a resolution.
I currently have the Comcast Business Gateway configuared to route the static IP route to a web hosting server, which is located on the same network. All external connections operate fine, as well as internal connetions (10.1.10.11).
The problem that I run into, is that we have several software with licenses that is issued to our domain name. When I attempt to access the control panels for this software, it advises me that the software license is not valid for 10.1.10.11. If I disconnect from our network and switch to another network and access via the domain name, the license is valid again.
When I am on the same network as the server and the modem, I cannot go to the domain. When I do so, it actually takes me to the Comcast Business Gateway login (hence why I am not posting my domain name). I have reviewed the settings in the modem, but cannot find what to change. Any ideas on what to change to make this work fully?
P.S: When I try to access it via the .com domain, it changes the URL to 10.1.10.1 . Not for sure if that helps or not.
