IPv6 PTR / Reverse DNS Record Configuration

Hello.  After a plan update, my assigned IPv6 /56 subnet has changed and I need to have IPv6 PTR / reverse DNS records from my old /56 removed and from the new /56 added.  Please advise.  Thank you.

Thanks for your reply @Comcast_Dena -- the package change is ok.  I just need to have reverse DNS records updated, as I don't believe Comcast has created a way for business customers to do this on our own yet.  Are you advising I call the above number and they will process the reverse DNS changes over the phone?

If the package change changed the equipment you would need to get that updated by calling the phone number provided as we are unable to make those changes on this platform. Are you able to call? I would be happy to follow up to confirm your issue is resolved with the equipment @amessina

There was no change to the equipment or the IPv4 static addresses, just the IPv6 prefix delegation. Since I host email services, the IPv6 reverse DNS records for my email server to be updated.  Historically, we submit that request via this support channel.

I am sorry for the misunderstanding on my part. I thought you were stating changes were made to your equipment on your account that you did not want. Please forgive me. Please send us a direct message with your full name, business name, full address, and phone number.

• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right corner
• Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business"
• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select “Comcast Business" from that list
• - A “Comcast_Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
