You would need to setup BGP as well as getting your own AS number.  You need to talk to a large business Comcast representative.  Large business reps handle stuff like multisite private ethernet and fiber.  If your getting the runaround trying to find one in your area then send me a private message and I'll send you a contact from the large business group in my area who should be able to look up the rep. for your area and put you in touch with them.

Anything from Juniper or Cisco that can take a full BGP table will work.  I think nowadays you need at least 512MB router memory for the full table.  I used to do it about 5 years ago with a 7206 VXR with an NPE400 running 256MB of ram but the table has gotten bigger, unfortunately.

Hi,

Our Internet Speed is 100/20, it is a Business Plan.

What we need to know is whether Comcast allows to use IPs provided by IP Registries (Like ARIN).

We do not want to buy IPs from Comcast nor from any other ISP but we want to get IPs from ARIN and then give those IPs to Comcast to point them to our modem.

Thanks

Hi uabhatt.  Comcast does not provide the option for Small Business customers to "bring their own IP address".

Can you tell me in which plan this feature is available?

Also, what technical setup would be required on our (customer) side to make it work. Do we need to setup BGP?
