Well, depending on the the size of your website determines your ability to modify/website building capabilites as show in this link - fyi. The free 3 page website (starter) is only 10MB in size and it increments as shown in the link I provided you. For example if your website is > 10 MB and < or = 300 MB than you need the business webhosting package, etc.

I can use retronixtech.comcastbiz.net (or .com I forget) but not retronixtech.net

This doesn't help me, as my website isn't up yet, and doesn't have any data.  I cannot activate my website.

Yes, you can use that website name to access, but you need to have website content in it before anything will display.
