Employee recently married and we would like to change her address to her new name

One way to change an email address is for your administrator to delete the old one, then add the new one with her married name in the prefix.

Thanks for the reply. That is one way but just renaming it would be easier...  

We need to keep her maiden name too as she is the office manager and has many contacts that know her current email. Adding an alias claims to need 72 hours to take effect.  So it just seems like there is a potential for lost messages.  

We'll have to schedule this at a time when there will be a light email load...

Welcome to the forum.

I would add this to the conversation.

After the alias has been created and applied to the account, please perform a send/receive test.

This is to check to make sure the "alias" name is on the email address and not the original email name.
