Does Comcast provide an API for reverse DNS updates?

Hi,

 

I'm a comcast business internet customer.  I use services like dyndns, afraid, and duckdns for my forward resolution.

 

I see a lot of folks requesting reverse records in this forum and wondered if Comcast has an API for making these requests similar to dynamic dns providers.  It would be simple enough to issue a key to a customer to auth with or just have them use their login and password.

Hi laird and welcome to the business forums!

 

Thanks for your question as well on reverse DNS. We are able to set up the reverse DNS record; however, we do not have an API to go with that. We would only be able to set the reverse DNS record for you. Please let me know if you need anything.
