Bad Routes to Static IP's in Comcast router c-50-133-90-64.hsd1.mi.comcast.net
We have a block of Static IP's provided by Comcast and none of our employees in a particular area here in Michigan are able to access any of those IPs. After asking the employees to replace their Comcast modems, and resetting their routers I finally decided to get connected to their computers while they were logged in at their homes to run some traceroutes. ALL of the employees live within a couple miles of each other and all experience the same bad route shown below. The packets drop at hop 3. See below:
TEST ONE - Static IP to our mail server
Mikes-iMac:~ $ TRACEROUTE 96.92.XX.XX TRACEROUTE to 96.92.XX.XX (96.92.XX.XX), 64 hops max, 52 byte packets 1 router.asus.com (192.168.1.1) 0.998 ms 0.742 ms 0.691 ms 2 c-68-55-28-1.hsd1.mi.comcast.net (68.55.28.1) 8.422 ms 9.978 ms 8.451 ms 3 c-50-133-90-64.hsd1.mi.comcast.net (50.133.90.64) 15.730 ms 16.079 ms 16.438 ms 4 * * * 5 * * *

Finally spoke to someone at Tier II. He found overlapping address space in multiple CMTSs.
