"unreturned equipment" charge?
Hello,
If you look at my support history, you'll get the backstory of all of the drama and headaches I've experienced in the past few years. Most recently, I was getting billed for equipment I did not have. Comcast took my modem, and I used my own modem --- but I was still charged for almost a year. After many, many phone calls - Comcast finally realized they had made a mistake and credited me for the equipment rental charges. However, out of nowhere I now see a "Unreturned equipment" charge on my bill. This month it is zero...but why is it even there? Knowing my history with comcast, I just have a feeling that someday - there will be a charge there....why even have this line item? Can someone please explain why this line item is there on my latest invoice?
Thank you!
Tom

Hello tfirma and welcome,
Sorry to hear about the lengthy removal of your unreturned equipment. Whenever there is a change in your biller for any reason there is typically a one month's lag in line item changes being reflected in the billing statements. As you mentioned, the pricing aspects are immediate but the actual line item may take a full next month for complete removal. You should not see this line item on your next month's billing statement.
Hope this helps you out.

Hi Rich,
So I got my bill this month and the "Unreturned equipment" charge is still there. You had said it might take a month, but now this is the THIRD month/invoice on which I see that charge. Can you help remove it, please?
