errors when natting a static IP

Hi, we have 5 static IPs that we've purchased with our service. We're trying to set up NAT using one of those IPs, but for every one, our modem's admin panel gives an unhelpful, unspecific error message and says "try again..."

Is there anything we need to do first before we can use our static IPs with NAT?

Thanks

@user_a4f81a Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Comcast Business Forums! You mentioned that you are receiving an unspecific error message and then says, "try again". Can you please provide the error message to us here?

Here is the error message in all its glory:

> Failure, please try again.

Thank you for clarifying. I know the interface can differ from one device to another, but we should be able to figure out why it's not going through on your modem. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, business name, and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

I see that there's a direct messaging feature on this website, but neither of you are coming up when I search via your user names. What user name should I use? Or is there an email I can use? Is there a case/ticket number I should refer to, or should I simply link to this page?

Sorry about that! Hopefully this helps!

Please send us a direct message with your full name, business name, full address, and phone number.

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right corner

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there

• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list

• - An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
