Equipment returning billing issues after cancelling account!

Hello. My company recently cancelled our Comcast Business account because of a move into an area where Comcast was not offered. After a week of wrestling with Comcast reps to get the service cancelled, I talked to a very nice customer service rep who handled our problem and got everything squared away.

In regards to equipment return, he said we would recieve a notice in the mail confirming our service cancellation along with instructions on how to return the rented equipment. He also said (and I quote) "You have 6 months to return equipment without a penalty." We waited patiently and no such notice every came. We would have gladly returned the equipment if we knew what was going on!!!

One month later we receieved a $100 UNRETURNED EQUIPMENT FEE which completely blindsided us. This is conniving and unfair buiness practices.

We already have $63.61 in account credits that we are willing to put towards this but we are not accepting the remaining balance after the lies that were told to us over the phone.

Please advise. Thank you.

I am happy to assist with the billing concerns. Can you please reach out through private message with the name, address and phone number on the account?

Hi Michelle,

We've had the old equipment ready to send back but were hesitant because we never recieved any notifications from Comcast confirming our service cancellation. We also do not know where and how to return equipment.

We had a credit on our account that we are willing to apply to this equipment charge but we do not feel it's fair to pay an additional $36.39 for an equipment late fee when we had no idea what was going on.

Please advise, thank you.
