Does anyone else find the new mobile app useless?

What is with the new mobile app? You can't do anything with it. You can't forward calls, or check phone messages, or see call logs. I have two devices, a phone modem and an internet modem, but only one appears. Under plan I can see I have 200mbps down, but no upload speed is mentioned. On the web it says 20. On the mobile device it says nothing.

On the old app it would show if there are outages in my area. Now there is nothing. What on earth does this app do???? It appears to do nothing and it's a serious downgrade from the previous app.

@bellevuefineart Thank you for reaching out to the Digital Care Team. Are you referring to the Xfinity Mobile app or the new Xfinity app (formerly My Account app)?

@Comcast_Heather Thanks for the response Heather. I'm referring to the new Xfinity app (formerly known as My Account app). I got emails from Comcast saying that I needed to delete the My Account app, as it's going away and replace it with the new app. So I did, but it has almost no functionality. Like the call anywhere feature, which I use a lot between two mobile phone numbers and two people, but you have to go to the web to change or update settings.

Is there another app?

@bellevuefineart As of mid-April, this will be the only application. However, we understand some features are still missing and are working to fix them. There will be some functions that may only be available online moving forward due to the sensitivity of the material. Here is more information: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-xfinity-app.

For specific functions you mentioned, the Xfinity app does show any interruptions that are currently taking place. The speeds you are getting can be found by running the speed test under the Connect Tab.

I no longer work for Comcast.

@Comcast_Heather Is the Comcast Business app going away too? This was my understanding.

Current new Xfinity app:

1. Only shows Internet modem, not phone modem

2. No way to manage call forwarding

3. No way to manage phone anywhere settings

4. Internet account information only shows download speed

5. Can't access voicemails

6. Can't see call logs

7. There is no area outage map

8. "Data usage" tab takes you to a chat bot that can't seem to tell you your data usage

Honestly the ONLY thing I can do with that app is to remotely restart my data modem and see when my last payment was. Other than that I see no functionality at all. It's just a complete downgrade from the previous apps.

@bellevuefineart I want to address each concern: based on the account specifics, 1) the internet is usually the same as the phone modem. 2-3 & 5-6) The phone settings will be changed/set up online moving forward. 4) As for the speed, the current My Account app does not show the upload either. 7) When there is an interruption, you will be notified and be able to see the map. 8) The data usage has been removed. You will need to assign the devices in order to see usage. You will still be notified at 75%, 90%, and 100% of usage. The Business app will still be available.

I no longer work for Comcast.
