Deceptive practices, churning accounts and contracts
I set up a business internet account for personal use - despite the fact that my condo fees include internet - back in 2015. In January of 2018, I called in to cancel this business account because I no longer felt I needed it. The person I spoke to really tried to keep me on a business account, and offered me a "promotional offer" where I was getting higher speeds at lower costs to keep me on a business account. I went for it - not realizing she had put me into a two year contract! Maybe I'm stupid... but I do not recall any mention of a two year agreement. Now, I've decided I want to still shut down my business account, and Comcast is trying to charge me $1200 for opting out.
Has anyone else run into this? I'm thinking Wells Fargo kinda consumer fraud here, this is really BS.

Hi xray.
I can certainly review your account status and look into this contract. Please private message me your first and last name, the name of your business, the full address and the phone number associated with your business account.

Sorry to hear about that! They never told me I couldn't move locations and if I do I am breaking my 2 year contract. Needless to say I have a 12 month lease! 5 calls later not much help other than fishing through the scam offers. I think they are just preying on small business owners to drive them out of business. They haven't been any help. I asked a question on here and after I messaged them I can no longer post, in my question, the button is not highlighted. All I get is do you accept this resolution... Um no. They haven't even responded...

As it turns out, I did in fact unwittingly sign a contract. I had called to try to shut down my old business acount, and the rep offered me a deal to stay on. She said I could get an even higher bit rate at a lower cost. I don't recall any mention of a two year contract, but I did honestly e-sign the document that I did not read closely enough. I have to say, in fariness, that I am totally satisfied with the quality of my Comcast internet service. But - I will never ever sign up for any "deal" with Comcast without really scrutinizing the fine print. My bad for not reading it closely - but I do feel that I was deceived verbally.
