The internet health test

Hello everyone, has anyone visited this site and ran its test before? I have. This test measures whether interconnection points are experiencing problems. It runs speed measurements from your (the test user’s) ISP, across multiple interconnection points, thus detecting degraded performance. Does not need Flash to run.

Excuse the formatting, these are my results:

Tata    5.67 Mbps3.15 Mbps

GTT    16.59 Mbps3.35 Mbps

Level 3  15.49 Mbps3.10 Mbps

Cogent    11.49 Mbps3.50 Mbps

Zayo   17.20 Mbps3.32 Mbps

I had never seen this numbers with my service, which points to what seems to be a major problem in my location, one of my neighbors had told me that every day after noon, the service comes to nearly a halt.

Well, I now have to start narrowing down the possible causes. Enjoy!

speedtest.net has been around a lot longer and they actually have a revenue stream (advertisements) which guarantees that they have enough money to pay for the back end infrastructure needed for this kind of test to be accurate.

This battle site - no visible means of revenue - I'd be a bit suspicious.  You might want to compare the results to other such sites.   Nice viral marketing campaign, though.
