smtp.hmc1.comcast.net broken?

I use the above to send email from my home computer to my work computer via my work account. For the past week now I have been unable to send email from my home machine. This is working fine while at work. Both my home machine and my work machine are on the comcast network, the only difference is that I am on the business class comcast account while at work. Why can I no longer send emails via my work account from my home system using smtp.hmc1.comcast.net?

Hello Bobm, to assist we would need more information to your email uid.

1. What is the domain of your email address using smtp.hmc1.comcast.net?

2. Can send you send from webmail?

Thank you

note* please post only your domain name in this query and not the entire email address.

This appears to be possible filter issue on a firewall. I say this because your setting appears to correct with POP3, able to send from your work location with it and the webmail works as well.

Can you map out your network for the community?

Example:

Modem (IP-Gateway, Surfboard, etc) -> Router (Netgear, Linksys, Cisco, etc) -> CPEs (Computers, printers, etc)

Additionally if you are using a modem have you ever connect directly to it for a test?

Thank you
