Seeing multiple internet drops a week...

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can assist.  I have a few outages per week of a few minutes each.  I use my Comast Business line as a home office line to connect to our main office over VPN, so I really need this reliable.

Each time I'm actually onsite & it goes out, it login to the cable modem (see info below) and the upstream channels have lost their lock.  I'm guessing this is a physical line problem and started a few weeks ago.

I really wish Comcast Business support would let me open a ticket online for tracking purposes and status rather than on the phone (I'm hearing impaired).

If someone from Comcast reads this, PM me and I'll send you my account number.

Here is my cable modem info:

Initialization Procedure

Vendor NameNetgear
Hardware Version1.04
Serial Number
Firmware VersionV3.01.08
Operating ModeResidential Gateway
System Uptime15 days 23h:30m:25s
Date08 - 17 - 2016
Time

Also: Reboots do not fix the problem.

As an additional note:  I'm in the IPV6 Business Trial (Chicago area -- IPV6PD works for me on my Ubiquiti Edgerouter Lite)  so there is a splitter & a second cable modem and I see the same loss of uplink channel lock on the secondary cable modem as well.  Both cable modems are the same model, both netgear.

Hello Robstarusa,

Sorry for the delayed response. I would like to do a factory rest to your modem from my end to get it to re-register to the network, see if this will resolve this issue. Would you please send a private message with the best time of day to do this rest as it can take up to 45 minutes to complete.
