My Netgear network disappeard

I don't know why my secured netgear network is gone.  I turned my ipad on at work and all the other businesses secured networks are listed and mine is not. I talked to the phone tech and we did all the reboot steps and still no network.  She said the problem was on my side. I am just about to throw this thing out the window!  Now I need to schedule with a tech to come out.  Is anyone else having a problem like this and if so what did you do to remedy this situation?

Hello MissDian and welcome,

Are you referring to your secured netgear network at your home? If so, your home network does not travel with you unless your IPAD has a specific internet access plan that you are on. Perhaps, you are referring to the XfinityWifi HotPot that most businesses do have and it provides public internet access to access you email or any other internet sites.

Please clarify what you mean by " my secured netgear network ", so we has assist you further.

I ordered Comcast Business bundle.  I was assigned my secure network was Netgear46 and it was working fine for a few months. Then last week I go into my office and I am unable to connect, When I am searching for my network it says, "No known network available."  I have a tech coming out today. Hopefully the problem will be solved.

Hello again MissDian,

If you are loosing your wireless secured network you might want to consider the following:

1. Log into you Comcast Gateway (Internet Modem) by connecting a computer / laptop using an ENET cable to any of the LanPorts 1-4, bring up a browser then use address 10.1.10.1 , username=cusadmin, password=highspeed

2. Click on LAN, then click the down arrow next to LeaseTime and select menu item FOREVER

3. Next click apply

From now on, your wireless device secure network SSID will ALWAYS be available because you no longer loose its dynamic IP address unless this device is powered down.

Hope this further help you out.
