Massive Latency Issues / Packet Loss
Anyone been experiencing this for the past few days? I keep hearing there's an attack on the DNS servers. Any truth to this? I'm getting sick of having crappy internet considering how much I pay for it.

Hello Futilzer and welcome,
I personally have heard of no Comcast DNS servers attack whatsoever. Please log into your Comcast Gateway (CG) using browser connected to 10.1.10.1, username=cusadmin, password=highspeed, then click on LAN and make sure your Leasetime=FOREVER and DNSs are programmed to Pri=75.75.75.75 and Sec=75.75.76.76. Try this for a couple days and if your are stilll having interconnectivity issues, call 8003913000, have your Comcast Agent log into your CG and make sure your WAN segment DNSs are programming within. This should ultimately resolve any interconnectivity drops you should be experiencing.

I too am experiencing some unusual latency the last few days. I know it isn't related to the above post lol as I am not using the SMC's built-in DHCP server as I have static's assigned throughout my business and that fix would only help someone in the rarest of cases if there PC didn't renew the IP in time which is not typical.
I have powered down the modem/router unplugging it for up to 5 mins and retrying later with the same delay/page load lagging. It isn't confined to one PC as I noticed it on one and switched to another with the same symptoms. It is similar to what you mentioned like the DNS isn't resolving but I tried using Google’s DNS snd OpenDNS's servers and the next time I experience it I will do some trace routes to see if I can locate where/why it is occurring. I have never noticed this issue as frequently until the last week or so and it has become so bad that I switch my WIFI off on my wireless devices so I can use LTE to get a page to load or an app to connect.
I was hoping it would just 'go away' but then I get a call today saying something about if my account ended in some digit range that Comcast is doing maintenance around midnight I believe in a few days.
